8th Grade Graduation

I can't believe what a BIG deal they make of 8th Grade graduation. When we left Jr. High I don't remember there being ANYTHING and certainly not a big ceremony with gowns and diplomas. This is a split with the kids going to two different high schools and of course all the girls were crying and the boys were like "can we go yet". It was nice to celebrate with Tanner.

This is the last day of school....just after he got off the bus.

I made him homemade lasagna {even though it was a million degrees with a million percent humidity and I didn't want to have to turn on the oven}....but that is how much I love this boy!! {and it was yummy}

I also made him a money lei {found it on pinterest}. It was pretty easy, but the red paper was a little too thick and I had a hard time keeping them together...the money was fine....and Tanner LOVED it!!

Tanner had to be at the school by 6pm and Jason didn't get home until 5:40....but I knew that we HAD to take picture before we left. Tanner was annoyed, but mostly cooperated....see last picture!!

I didn't realize until just before we left that Tanner was singing in the 8th grade Graduation Choir. They sang, "The Stars Spangled Banner" and "Unwritten". They did a GREAT job.

And saying goodbye to his friends.....I had to BEG for most of these pictures, he just wanted to go home. Happy Graduation bud! I can't believe it's time for high school, but it is! Next stop....DGS!!
