Halloween 2014....and a little flood

I decided to make me a new witch costume this year....and it turned out AWESOME!! I LOVE it, the bird on the brim is my FAVORITE!! I mostly made it because we had a really fun witches dinner for Relief Society, and it was such a fun night!! {have I said that we live in the best ward EVER!}

The night of hallowe, we had invited the missionaries over for dinner. I made homemade chili and bread sticks {and they were awesome}....just before we sat down for dinner, I noticed that there was water coming up through the sewer drain in the basement....and it kept coming up....and there wasn't anything we could do about it.....unfortunately.

Halloween

Last Friday night was our ward Trunk-or-Treat, we took a few yummy treats and I took pictures all night of all the cute kids in their costumes. Tanner helped run the spook alley {and I didn't get a picture of him}. Christine snapped this picture of Jason and I at the end of the night. {good thing we wore our Halloween colors}

We didn't really do anything on Halloween....it rained ALL day and everything was wet and yucky. Tanner didn't want to dress up, neither Jason or I dressed up and the doorbell only rang about 10 times. {although I was surprised that the kids just stood there and didn't even say "trick-or-treat"...I made them say it or I wouldn't give them candy, but it was surprising to me}.

I did make homemade 3 bean soup, breadsticks and cinnamon sticks {which were delicious}.

I don't know if it's because of the strange weather {it's been pretty warm and rainy this week}, but all of the sudden the fall colors are BEAUTIFUL!!! I took a bunch of pictures this week and I LOVE all the colors. I LOVE fall!!!
