Tonight we had our annual Beehive Bash. We have a fun party at the Stake Center for all the Beehives {young women 12-13} in our Stake. We like to have this fun activity for them because they meet each other at girls camp and then they don't get to see each other because they aren't able to come to the Stake Activities until they are 14.
We decided to use "beehives" as our theme and we wen't crazy with yellow and black. We used the Cricut to cut out all the beehives, bees and flowers...{didn't get a good picture of the flowers, but we cut out all different kinds of flowers in the value colors and taped them to the walls}.
Here is a close up of the center pieces, we taped three beehives together into a triangle, put a piece of floral foam in the middle of the hives. Make bees with yellow balloons. Make stripes with sharpie marker and add antennas with pipe cleaners. Tie balloons to skewers and then sick into the floral foam. Super easy and cheep.
We went a little crazy with the "bee" theme and even dressed up ourselves as bees. Here is our awesome Stake YW presidency. {Sister Cameron, Sister Rosa, Sister King and Sister Summers}. LOVE these ladies!!!
We served dinner at this activity, we had fruit, green salad, pizza and breadsticks. {I just had to show you are delicious fruit...it was SO good}
After dinner, we made a fun craft. Each of the girls made a set of
YW Value magnets. They love using them in their lockers and it's a very fun, easy craft that can be completed pretty quick. This year, I ordered my magnets
HERE. I also used a 5/8" circle punch and the paper fit much better behind the marbles.
After the craft, we played some fun games. We started with
balloon basketball , then some relay races and finished up with
Love your Neighbor. {on of their very favorite games}.
It was a super fun night and all the girls had a great time!
